So what's on offer?

This is a newly created role in response to some big projects we have ahead of us. As the Marketing Coordinator at Star Pharmacy Group you will be tasked with coordinating our local area marketing efforts across our pharmacies. You will be able to build quality relationships with our pharmacy and retail managers, assisting them to engage with their local communities and to create wow experiences for their customers making us their go-to pharmacy.


  • Provide end-to-end coordination of local marketing initiatives, targeting both internal and external audiences

  • Social media management 

  • Website maintenance and content creation

  • Manage and maintain audience databases 

  • Prepare detailed summaries and analysis of customer and market segments 

  • Proactively work with team members to ensure effective and timely delivery of marketing projects

  • Provide marketing support to the General Manager - Marketing, assisting with brand management and working across our customer acquisition and retention strategies

  • Compliance with all pharmacy guidelines 


  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related degree

  • 3-5 years’ experience 

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience with stakeholder management

  • Social media know-how - both admin and content creation

  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently

  • Familiarity with Hubspot will be an advantage

Star Pharmacy Group has been helping Australians be happier and healthier everyday for over 30 years. We operate 60 pharmacies across multiple brands including; Star Discount Chemist, Priceline and Terry White Chemmart throughout New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

Our Marketing team is led by our General Manager and consists of a Marketing Specialist, Graphic Designer and a Marketing Administration Assistant. The Marketing team also works very closely with our Professional Services, Retail and Operations teams. We support 750 team members across our stores and national support office.

What are we looking for?

First and foremost a great attitude! Someone who loves to add value and help drive organisational performance over and above the transactional elements of Marketing. If you’ve got a few years’ experience under your belt this could be the perfect role for you. Prior experience providing support to multiple locations will be helpful but not essential, same goes for retail experience. It's important you enjoy being hands on and working in a small team where everyone supports each other to deliver requirements. Familiarity working across a variety of Marketing platforms such as Hubspot, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and analytical tools such as Google Analytics and PowerBI, or equivalent will be viewed favourably. 

The icing on the cake for us would be someone with:

  • strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders (pharmacists, retail, support office, industry and external partners).

  • a can do attitude with a passion for customer service

  • alignment to our Purpose, Vision and Values

  • background and understanding of a company who has and is experiencing continual growth, acquisitions/new stores and size (i.e., 750 employees/60 sites)
