We are currently seeking a Retail Manager to provide leadership at one of our Star Discount Chemists locations, where community healthcare is our passion and our focus!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the daily operations of the Retail division of the business. Your leadership will set a positive example for your team, inspiring them to consistently provide exceptional customer service. Other duties you will perform include:

  • Manage the rosters and time keeping for your team
  • Demonstrate passion for our brand and commitment to growing our customer loyalty program 
  • Inducting and training of all new team members while continually building capabilities of existing team members 
  • Lead stock management and merchandising tasks
  • Promote a harmonious team environment and manage workplace relations when necessary
  • Actively drive store recruitment for all retail roles

You will be supported daily by your Pharmacist Manager, Area Manager and People & Culture Team.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a talent for leadership, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of team building. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of energy and enthusiasm for delivering top-quality pharmacy healthcare services to our community, all while demonstrating a strong commitment to teamwork.

 

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

  • Previous retail and people management experience 
  • Experience with budgets, wages and GP management
  • Familiarity working with key performance indicators 
  • Motivation of the self and ability to guide and lead others 
  • Experience with managing daily operations in a high volume store
  • A current police check or willing to obtain one

The following are not essential but would be the icing on the cake for the ideal candidate

  • Previous Retail Management experience
  • S2/S3 medications certificate (Highly Regarded)
